CeX History

CeX started out in the UK in 1992 and continued to grow across the country in the late 90’s.

In the 2000s, CeX started franchising, and now there are over 380 stores UK wide

There are Corporate stores, which are all owned by CeX Ltd, and Franchise stores which are owned privately by franchisees (but still operate under the CeX brand and business model)

We now have CeX stores in various territories across the world, such as Ireland, Spain, Mexico, India, and Netherlands!

Our Teams

We have other departments which contribute to the overall operation of the company, as opposed to one on one store contact.

Operations

A team of senior managers that ensures all CeX stores are operating to the same standards

Learning and development

In charge of all of our training content, internal sites and our systems and processes - how we train our staff

Customer Service

Our customer service team is an online service to stores and to customers. They are called ‘Wecare’. Customers are able to contact them via our website contact form.

Loss prevention

Oversee and investigate areas of loss across the company

Commercial

Our commercial team is in charge of our pricing structure, ensuring we’re as competitive as we can be.

Marketing

Marketing takes care of our posters and advertising within our stores, and also our advertising presence in other media such as TV and radio. They are also in charge of our social media presence.

HR

HR takes care of the Corporate side of the company.

IT

Our IT department takes care of all the IT hardware (tills & servers etc), and also the software development side.

Ecom

They oversee the operations of the ecommerce side of the business.

Logistics

They oversee the movement, and security, of the stock that moves between locations.

RMA

They deal with our faulty stock that is unsellable.

Support Managers/Roaming

They are a team of store managers who travel the country, working in stores who need support the most.

Franchising

They are a team of Franchise Managers, who liaise between our Franchise Business owners and CeX Corporate.
